This article validated the intense drive that I feel about my personal career as a educator and movement coach. In particular, I appreciated the "reframe" that it's okay to quit when you're headed in the wrong direction. Also, since I'm a proponent of seeing life as cyclic--having an ebb and flow of active productivity and restful reflection, I could definitely relate to the second half of the post. ~Ramman, primordialplayground.com

In reply to <a href="https://bethebetterdad.com/born-for-this-book-review/#comment-6">Kellie MacMillan</a>.

Thanks, Kellie! You're right, we often keep our 'work lives' and 'family lives' separate, as if they didn't constantly affect each other...but I think the type of worker that Chris describes in his book, the worker of the future, without a traditional job but the self-determination to define their job themselves, this new worker won't have to hide the important parts of themselves from the public.

Your post is such a great find. That's why I love DCW, the possibilities are endless.
I enjoyed your review of 'Born For This'. As a blogger, I feel that the ebb and flow analogy really fits on me. I become increasingly outraged at how many people are just looking for a methodology rather than seeing the internet job life as an infinite possibility.
I also want to commend you on being able to come right out and say 'father of 3, blogger, Parkour athlete etc... I think many woman don't feel we have that freedom to admit we have kids and our lives are messy. We so carefully curated ourselves that I think we may unknowingly create some identity crisis' for ourselves. Being a parent, blogger, CEO, superhero or whatever doesn't necessarily come in a perfect package but it's all about that flow chart isn't it?
I'm not sure why but I think I just have a little rant ha,ha, Thanks for posting today and provoking some thoughts from me with your review.
I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing more of your work and thoughts on DCW.
Cheers,
